Miss Priss

I kinda feel like I'm dressed like a prissy bitch today, but whatever. I'm into it.
Sweater - thrifted Ann Taylor Loft
Blouse - thrifted
Skirt - thrifted
Tights - TJ Maxx
Shoes - Baker's, like 10 years ago

I feel like I am seriously lacking in the motivation department this past week... I mean, I guess I was exceptionally productive this weekend, but sometimes, doing nothing for five minutes turns into doing nothing for two hours and then I feel bad.  I know I shouldn't - if I want to watch three episodes of Millionaire Matchmaker with my gay boys, it's my free time to waste as I please. I just know that there are things on my to-do list that have been there too long and I ought to be doing them. Oh well, I have Monday off work for President's Day and I know I'll get a ton done then!

Do you guys ever have this problem? I feel like watching TV or being online during my free time is "wasting it" and I should be cleaning, cooking, sewing, organizing, doing my taxes, reading, exercising, etc. I know I'm just hard on myself, but it's annoying to feel guilty over giving myself a lazy break once in a while!

you look like you need a metre stick and your hipster glasses!

haha and omg don't feel guilty about the "lazy" feeling! I probably spend a good couple hours a day doing just that! Think of reading everyone's blogs like curling up with a good book? you get a laugh or two, maybe even learn something (like i did about F21 yesterday! thanks for that!), and its the prefect way to unwind after a long day :)

Cute outfit. I totally get how you are feeling - but everyone needs some "down" time to make your other times more productive. You need to be good to yourself. :-) I recently found your blog and am reading it via Google Reader. Enjoy seeing your outfits! You've got some cool clothes and a wicked sense of style!!

I think there's a bit of an Emma Pilsbury (from Glee) vibe going on here. All you need is a cute brooch or a sweater pin.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'll be following you now :)
I totally know how you feel about "wasting" free time. Sometimes I like to be super-busy&unstoppable, but most of the time I like to sit on the couch and watch hours&hours of nineties beverly hills 90210... and i am not ashamed.

Our bodies&brains need breaks.

First off, "prissy bitch" made me lol. I think you look adorable.

Second, ME TOO, so unmotivated.

I feel like there are SO many things I can and want to do with my free time, but watching TV in bed is actually pretty high on the list. It's just DVD or DVRd TV or live TV I have trouble choosing from. What can I say? I'm LAZY.

I can sympathise. But I think to myself, "chillaxing is NECESSARY or I will lose track of my own brain" and it usually works. The only thing I still trouble over is the reading thing - more books, less internet!

I like this outfit. These details are great. Love the yellow color as well. Well even if you do look like a "prissy bithch" (which I don't think you do) you look very cute.

YES. I call this Shark Disease. The disease of always thinking I have to be moving or I'm going to die. *sigh*

ha, so funny! i love those days when your personality changes just a little bit because of what you're wearing. you do look buttoned-up but it's totally rad here.

I totally dig your outfit, especially the shoes. The whole things is both whimsical and authoritative (a top combo).
And I get your need for downtime. I actually think I can only be productive an average of 4-6 hours a day (on project that I self-pace), so when I go into overdrive, I have to laze about afterwards to get back to where I need to be. It's frustrating but it's probably like staying awake: you can push yourself a few times, but you gotta make up for it with rest.

I always feel guilty when I just lay around and watch tv with my free time, but sometimes that is really ALL I wan to do. It helps me to rejuvenate sometimes, so I guess that is a pretty good thing. :)

I adore this outfit!

Jolie tenue je trouve que ton choix de souliers est toujours très bien orienté. Tu apportes un soin très particulier au choix de tes tenues. Tu as un don naturel.
