Sequins and skulls

It's time for some day sequins. Yes, the dress that was runner-up in the "What should I wear on New Year's Eve?" poll is now being rocked on casual Friday. I added a jean jacket and ballerina flats so I don't feel like I'm in a "walk of shame" dress all day.
 Glasses - Prada
Jean jacket - thrifted
Dress - Hayden Harnett
Necklace - Disney Couture
Tights - Target
Shoes - Target

I love this necklace, it's just tough to wear sometimes because of the thick gold chain... I need to try it on a different necklace to see if I can wear it more often.

Remember the ant? Well, now Mr. T sent me photos to show me that he made a big scary praying mantis to bully my poor little ant (who got mouth pincers added, yay!)

But!! I have a MPLS onesie I made that he needs for a baby shower he's going to on Saturday
and a t-shirt I made him held hostage (in addition to his favorite tie), so I suspect the ant will escape the mantis and come to live at my house. We're going on a thrifting date on Saturday, so I'll update you on Monday on what happens in the latest phase of the apparent Art War we are engaged in...

I think the dress "dressed down" nicely. But omg, let me squee over your skull necklace. I love the star eye patch!

At least your little ant can fight back now. Good luck on your thrifting date. It sounds like loads of fun.

So... basically, you held a tie hostage and walked away with a welded ant and praying mantis? Not bad, not bad...

Mr. T sounds awesome, from the nickname to the art! And that necklace is totally badass... which is an odd thing to say about a Disney product. Hmm.

That necklace is AWESOME. So are those bugs. Man, your dude is super-talented.

In other news, aren't daytime sequins the best? I love how cleverly you've toned down that glitzy dress with your cute denim jacket. I used to have the same little jacket, and I loved the cut...but, alas, I am not a jean jacket girl, so off to the thrift store it went. Be funny if it was the same one, no?

love this look. denim jackets are the gowns best friend to get worn at daytime.

Yay for day sequins. I am a big fan of sequins for sun lit shenanigans. They show up better anyway.
