Don't they distract you from my bruised eyeballs? Wanna see? You don't? Too bad... if I have to have them, you have to see them... and they will slowly get better looking, but it will take up to a month for the bruising to clear up. Boo. I also can't wear any mascara or eye make-up for at least a week.
This was caused by them SUCTION CUPPING MY EYEBALLS. It didn't hurt when they did it and they don't hurt now, they are just really dry feeling. Which is fine because I have to put in three different kinds of eyedrops a million times a day... well, basically every half-hour to hour. My vision is already pretty good, I'd say about 90% as good as when I wore my contacts (and my prescription was a crazy strong -8.5). I'll post more about the surgery tomorrow, but everything went well, so for now I've got to go to work!

Hope the Lasik didn't hurt too much. I do have to say though I love this outfit, especially the hat.
I'm glad the lasik went well, and the shiny arms are fun!
something about things touching eyeballs REALLY freaks me out and i almost had an anxiety attack looking at your eyes. this is why i can never get lasik. i am glad it went well, however, and your sparkly arms do distract me!
OK, at some point you have to write about what it was like. It SEEMS horrifying, so I have to know. I'm glad it worked though! And it doesn't really look all that bad.
Glad the Lasik was a success! You are a brave gal!
ps. Love the way those pants fit you! Very cute.
I got Lasik 4 years ago and it was hands down the best thing I ever did. The freedom of not reaching for my glasses when I wake up, the not having to put contacts in for sport, and the not having to swap between prescription glasses and prescription sunnies in the summer. You will never regret it!
Uh... they did WHAT? Suction cupping your eyeballs is even more hideous than lasering your eyeballs. And that's pretty hideous.
Wow! I didn't know bruising was possible. I didn't have anything like that with mine.
Congrats! Here's to waking up and being able to see every morning! (and in the middle of the night and in the swimming pool)
Ay! Now I'm even more terrified of lasik. Those arm warmers are rad!
Ooooh you look so cute despite the fact that your trying to hide your eyes. I've always wanted to explore doing lasik. Did it hurt getting it done?
Congrats on the lasik! I will not be distracted by the shiney arm warmers - instead I will be distracted by Those fabulous pants and the lovely cloche hat. ♥ You look fabulous~ and I hope you heal up fast.
Haha... you would include the close-up eye shot! You are brave... I thought I would do it until I saw all that was entailed. Mind you, I got my gums lasered (willingly) and that was gross... but cosmetic..:)
Horray for eyesight! Hope you're feeling better!
Holy smokes! Those eyes! They look like they hurt a lot! I'm excited for you to have done the surgery... I'm a bit afraid of it so it's good to hear that it went well!
Like Erin, I want a full recap. I have wanted to do this for a long time, I wear contacts and am blind without them and it sucks when camping, when you do your face and then realize you forgot to put them in (I get dressed in the dark), etc.
Dig the shiny arms!
OK Im so glad your surgery went well but THAT IS A CREEPY PICTURE. But I understand, I feel the need to subject people to weird things when I'm going through them too.
Dude, shiny distracting arms are fabulously badass. You look awesome!
You're laser eyes scare me but, I'm glad it looks worse than it is for you. I will never be a candidate for laser... and that's ok...
