Tunics and tattoos

Tunic - vintage via Here Lies Boots
Pants - little girls yoga pants from free pile... I love the flared cropped length on me, it makes me feel like Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction
Shoes - Target

So my new seahorse tattoo is all healed up and I'm super excited. Although not too many people have seen it yet, being winter and with my constant need to wear cardigans. Tattoos are so interesting to me (and a lot of people I think!) I started thinking about all the bloggers who have tattoos and thought I'd try to compile a few posts on them. I know Danielle does Tattoo Tuesday (but they are just people with tattoos, not necessarily personal style bloggers) and Fashionable Academics did a Annotated Bibliography of Tattoos (but they were all people in the academic field). So I think I'm going to do a weekly feature on "Fashion Blogger Tattoos" (creative name, I know, but I'd like people to be able to find the posts if they are just googling around.) So, do you have a tattoo? Several? Send me a photo or two along with a description (it can be as much or as little as you want - kinda a what, where, when, why sort of explanation! Be sure to include the url of your blog as well so I can link to you in the post!) futurelint@gmail.com with the word "Tattoo" in the subject line! Once I start getting a few, I'll do the first post! Feel free to pass along this info to any bloggers whose tattoos you are curious about, I know I'm a pretty small blog so I certainly don't know everyone!

That tunic is super cute.

I don't have any tattoos, but it will be fun to see the pictures.

LOVE your tunic. The blue is so, so pretty on you!

I'm super excited about this feature. I'm certainly not someone people look at and say, "She probably has tattoos..." I have four, so I love that it's such an unexpected surprise. I'll be emailing you shortly!

love that tunic! royal blue is totally the new black (i've decided).

i have a tattoo :) i wrote about it a little bit here:
http://makinglifewakinglife.blogspot.com/2009/10/blustery-day-and-tattoo.html

i definitely never thought i would get a tattoo and this one was sort of a whim--my friend bonnie and i had been throwing around the idea of getting tattoos the summer after graduated from college, and one day we just hopped on a train to providence (RI) and did it!

i'll have to take a new photo of it and maybe email you... currently the only pictures i have showcasing the thing were taken a few days after it was done and i'm holding a beer and/or a cigar in every shot (not internet friendly).

DO NOT let me forget to do this. I have a few good ones. And one crap one :)

I love that tunic. I love when you wear things that normal people might consider costumey and prove them all wrong!

It makes me want my new tattoo even more; Gustavo got laid off and I am the bread winner plus paying for part of school so it has been put on the back burner. Have been wanting to get it since sometime in Korea... but hopefully soon!!!!

I can't believe I missed this post! Your coveted seahorse is really awesome!

(Not all the participants in our Annotated Bibliography were academics, but I love tattoos so the more posts on them the better!)
