Hey-la, Hey-la

 Cardigan - thrifted vintage Dehen
T-shirt - Target
Skirt -  vintage via Pangs
Tights - TJ Maxx
Shoes - thrifted xhilaration

So, I went on my first "date" this weekend. We just went out for a drink on Saturday afternoon and it went really well. I was super nervous and scared all day, I haven't been out on a first date in like four years! We got along really well and figured out we have a mutual friend and actually met once before, a few years ago. He was really cute and nice but, ultimately, I don't think the sun shines out of his ass. And isn't that what we are all looking for? To bask in the glow of someone's ass sunshine? I'm pretty sure he felt the same way. Like, you are cool but we are missing that spark (the one that makes you feel like you're a giddy sixteen year old or makes you want to start just madly kissing the other person, even though you are in public.) So at least I got my first first date out of the way and it wasn't a disaster! I'm sure there will be many more to come and at least a few will be catastrophic and I will want to die but at least then I will have funny stories to tell you.

For some reason, I missed the fact you were on the market. Way to take the first step. May you find that ass-sunshiner with minimal drama (or if there is drama, may it be amusing for you and your friends).

Yeah, I guess I only mentioned it once, here:

It was for the best but dating is so intimidating!

YES.

I'm glad it was pleasant but enh. Much better than running into a total loser and having to think "this is what's out there?"! I love when it's a nice, respectable "you're lovely but it's just not a good fit" mutually-beneficial hangout.

I'm glad you got the first date over with. Those are tough. Your sweater is cute, and your dating stories will be fun.

Bask in the glow of someone's ass sunshine may just be the best line of 2011. LOVE.
