Hmm, I usually dress up for holidays because I work at a school but I kinda forgot about it until this morning and didn't want to change. Plus I'm not Irish and generally avoid St Patrick's Day all together, due to it's high concentration of douchebags. I really have to stop taking these photos at 7am... I have the worst tired face!
Shirt - thriftedBelt - thrifted
7 bangles - all thrifted
Jeans - thrifted The Limited
Sandals - Jessica Simpson
I wish I could figure out this shirt... it looks handmade and pretty old but I really have no idea what decade it is from... plus, what the heck do you pair with a bright orange boatneck top with a cropped length??? I tried on like 1,000 skirts with it but had to just quit and go with jeans!
Seven bangles:
Sandals (since it supposed to hit SIXTY degrees today, whoot!)
Well Happy St. Patrick's Day to anyone who celebrates it... I myself will be sitting at home, although I might be persuaded to have one Guinness with my brother-in-law...

I hear ya on the st patty's db's-- there's like the frattiest frat pseudo-irish bar at the top of my 'hood. They opened at 7 or 8am this morning. I am avoiding that corner at all costs today.
oh man i love your stack of wooden bangles. I have a collection myself and i would jump someone for that carved flower one.
And its only fluke hat I'm wearing green today... st patty's is overrated.
LOVE those sandals. LOVE. And that is a heck of a tricky top. Maybe layer it over a dress?
i actually really like how you have the top styled here. its rare to see you sporting jeans (at least on the blog) so while this is common for most people, it feels very unique for you. at least to me.
(and since orange is also on the irish flag, i say youre still in the spirit of things!)
:)
I am so loving your casual jeans looks lately! That shirt is gorgeous and I love the color contrast with it and the jeans.
Love that carved bangle!! And I'm with you on St. Pat' day. The blog "stuff white people like" did a hilarious post on it last year.
haha i forgot about st pattys day and had to draw a clover on my hand with a highlighter cause a few people threatened to pinch me!!!! what?! yeah for reals!
then when i picked my fabric today i was like hmm ok this works for today as well as my bathroom -sweet! :P
Oh boy, if you'd worn orange on St. Patrick's Day where I grew up in Boston, you'd have had several threats to your personal well being before lunch! Come to think of it, I do believe that's how Larry Brutti ended up with a black eye that one year...
Very cute shirt, none-the-less. I love orange on redheads.
Aww you look cute- those bracelets are amazing! and Aww I am sad that St. Pat's day has been er, hijacked? by frat boys and party ppl. I am Irish- I grew up in Boston - and my grandma would always have the best Irish folk stories to share. I made some traditional Irish foods for today - and will celebrate with a dinner with friends- but no no no to the public drunk-ary and such.
Oh man, I can't believe you thrifted that top. I love it and was hoping you bought it at a store so I could go and copy you...too bad. You look great!
xoxo

yeah, I was gonna say re: evanadine's and katie's comments, orange on St. Patrick's is a no-no for Irish Catholics (or those who are pro Irish unification)-- it's a color tied to protestant/English aggression/dominance in Northern Ireland.
[Not that it matters much to me-- I am pro-unification and I love orange. Silly religions.]
oooh, fascinating!
This is seriously the douchiest holiday there is. Hated.
But I do love those sandals and that shirt is pretty awesome. Those sandals with those jeans are a killer combination.
I love all the bracelets together and that shirt is great! Who cares if you're not wearing green today - hope you didn't get pinched!
i love love love that top on you!!!!! orange is totally your color!
I love the detail on your shirt - so adorable!
What a GREAT shirt! I love the bangles and shoes with it!
That orange blouse is stunning. Perfect. I love it!
I'm inspired by your stack of bangles.
