Turbo Turban Blog

I hadn't planned on wearing this little jacket all day but it is coooold and wiiiiiindy here, so here it is. While I've always been a fan of the head scarf, lately I've been noticing bigger and bigger ones that are getting more turban-like in their head wrapping... so I decided to give it a go today! I didn't get too big or crazy with it for the first attempt, plus the kids at work give me a hard time when I wear hats and hair scarves because they aren't allowed to wear them in school.

Scarf - thrifted
Jacket - thrifted
Pearls - my mom bought them for me at a garage sale
T-shirt - Target
Jeans - Earnest Sewn
Shoes - Madeline

You've been warned, so live in fear, cause one day, I'm gonna show up and just go all Kelly Wearstler on your asses...

P.S. Day off tomorrow! Wahoo! I'll finally be able to do a BIG etsy update, now that the t-shirt insanity has died down (for the time being)!

I love the look. A Dutch friend of mine wears turbans all the time because she converted to Sikh Dharma, and I'm hoping she'll let me borrow one when she comes to visit next month.

Ooh, the turban looks superb on you! I wonder if it would look equally awesome with short hair...

Oh, please, please, please do Kelly Wearstler. That women is a lovely bag o' crazy and you could do worse than her awesome turban! I love how you did your scarf/turban though - can you share the secret? I'd love to try it.

Love the adorable scarf in the hair. It works so well with the lovely jacket.
I didn't know you had an Etsy shop. I took a look earlier and it's just adorable. You seem really tiny though so I am a little weary about getting things that fit (I'm broad in the shoulders/rib cage) but I'm definitely lurking. I'm looking forward to the updates.

I've recently found your blog and I am loving your style and your spiral staircase. That turbo turban rocks! I must know how you tied the scarf into such a great look. It's either that or a haircut for me and who has time for a haircut? (If I stopped reading blogs I might have time for a haircut.)
