My skirt enjoys pattern mixing

I go for half hour walks around downtown on my lunch breaks every day, and yesterday I got a little pink faced... I love that I tan so easily. Get a half hour of sun here and there and wear sunblock the rest of the time, and I still get nice and brown and freckily. Plus, wearing white makes me seem extra tan already!
Blouse - Thakoon for Target
Tank - little boys Fruit of the Loom
Elephant necklace - thrifted
Watch - Michael Kors
Skirt - old Z Cavaricci dress I altered (the top was black, dolman long-sleeved and had a mock turtleneck... it was horrid)
Sandals - Nine West

El elefante y las sandalias:
Sometimes I like to speak Spanish, just to keep it fresh. It's been six months since I stopped working weekends at the golf club. I miss being able to speak Spanish with Esteban and Raymundo all the time. Eh, maybe that's good - I'll forget all the dirty slang phrases they taught me.  On a related note... still haven't found a new summer job! After working at the golf club for eight years, I forgot how frustrating and time-consuming it is to find and apply for jobs. Annoying! Gaaaa!

That necklace is awesome!!!
I used to work at a Mexican restaurant during college so the cooks taught me all kinds of wonderful things to say. I have to admit though that my husband taught me the worst one. Even the cooks were horrified.

That skirt is adorable. Looks very breezy and cool.
Ah, finding summer work in Minneapolis. I was lucky and didn't have to find work after my second summer. I only did get one job as a deli girl at the Uptown Kowalski's. I was afraid to run into my thesis advisor. She never came in, but Fritz Mondale did once. He lectured me on the importance of getting a law degree (thanks, Walt!)

Way to save a gorgeous skirt from life as a horrid dress!

That skirt is beautiful. I'm glad you were able to make an unflattering dress into something wearable.

I love these shoes. I wish I could walk around during lunch - midtown/garment district is a sea of sweaty people to navigate on narrow sidewalks.

Hahah, I wish I were more (at all) fluent in spanish, even if it were just in dirty slang.
