Le ta-tas

Ok kids, I 'm gonna get the teensiest bit PG-13 on you today for academichic's "Dress Your Best" week... and pick my boobs! Gaa! Okay,  I work at a public school, so I'm not actually gonna roll around in something cleavage bearing, just this...

Ok, actually, I will look like this all day... I picked this dress because it is ever-so-slightly low cut for work and also form fitting in the bust, yet appropriate for work because it also looks like something a four year old would wear to Easter brunch, so it's less risque than say, leopard print. Then I threw on this jean jacket to take it down to PG levels...
Jean jacket - thrifted (GAP kids) then I bleached the hell out of it
Dress - thrifted
Shoes - Bakers (long before I swore off cheap shoes)

Hi, my name is Christine and I weigh 120 lbs (okay fine, more like 123 right now) and I am a 34D (ok, sometimes a 32DD but no one even makes that size!)  I'm a walking freak show. I know it. But!! I also think I do a fairly good job of hiding the fact that I am, um, excessively well-endowed? in the um, upper-regions?

Anyway, in high school I was 4'10" and wore the saddest little AA bras ever... all I wanted was a little bit of boob, just the teeniest bit. I wished and wished... please grow! Then I went off to college and grew five inches in height and um, also five inches out?  These things seriously showed up out of nowhere (let's blame my dad's side of the family, because his mom and sisters are rather busty and my mom's side of the family - not so much)... I've had a love/hate relationship with my bust for 10 years now. I finally got boobs. Big whoop. They are not all they are cracked up to be, I'd much rather have "fashion boobs"... BUT! I have also come to accept them as a part of me, and today I'm not hiding them like I usually do but celebrating them just the tiniest bit (for me)... But yeah, maybe I shouldn't have wished so hard...

P.S. I know I did little mosaics for the body parts from the rest of the week, but I am just not throwing down a montage of my tits down here... I did dig through the last 2 years of my photos though, and have unearthed the most risque outfit I wore, which considering I was going to a bachelorette party, is pretty tame:
P.S. While digging through the archives for a slut-o-rama picture, I just realized TODAY is my 2 YEAR blog-o-versary! Oh my!

Dear god, Christine, I love ya. The next time I'm in the Twin Cities, can we please, please, PLEASE hang out?

I had very similar ta-ta wishes in high school, though mine ultimately amounted to nothing (well, not nothing. My AA magically transformed into a....A!). Maybe you stole all my boob karma. Anyway, I'm glad you're celebrating the ladies. They deserve some celebration. Boobs rock!

Happy blog anniversary!!!
I used to have 32DD as well and then I got pregnant and they went to G's. Now, after three years of breastfeeding, they are a 34C. I find it hilarious that they just keep changing as soon as I get used to them. Oh boobs!!!

Haha, we share a boobstory!

A. The first picture on this post made me laugh out loud! You are too funny!!
B. Looove the bachelorette party outfit!
C. I'm with ya on the 34D's and the understanding that one must dress consciously of them or else things can get risque real quick.
D. Oh- I also nearly did a spit-take when I read "fashion boobs." Hehehe...

I was wondering when someone would write about the boobages. Yours are lovely, babe! And really, I would not have guessed the size of the gals from your outfit pics. Where do you put them? :o)

Happy anniversary!

OMG, I love this post! It's so frank and cheeky and had me snorting with laughter at my work desk. Love the print on the dress and the cute little socks, you look great!

You're killing me today! That first picture made me fall out of my chair. (And what are fashion boobs? The ones that runway models have? Or the option of being able to put on your boobs, like the chicken cutlets, and take em off at the end of the night?)
One of my bestest's friends is like G or something and she can only find the right bras in England. I still wish I could be sexy like you well endowed ladies but instead I will just admire.

That first picture cracks me up. I like that dress, and the necklace you are wearing in the bachelorette party picture is great.

I snickered out loud and then maybe clapped. For real. Aren't boobs a funny thing? I went from being pretty flat chested to 32E (because they don't make DD in nursing bras, apparently) when breastfeeding and it was WILD. So I salute you for dressing those girls so well every single day. - E.

As someone who was flat as a breadboard thoughout high-school, and wished she wasn't, and who has now got whoppers, I can relate so much to your story. I gaze enviously at women with 'fashion boobs' often. It is so restricting in the clothing department, especially when your top half is a size bigger than your bottom half - very tricky with dresses. I don't mind my boobs naked, but i resent them in clothes, if that makes sense. Don't resent them per se, but resent their intrusion into the sartorial arena. Some styles of tops & dresses I can never wear, which makes me sad sometimes. But i guess some styles also look wrong on flat-chested girls; styles I can wear, so it's swings & roundabouts. It is comforting to read of other people wrestling with their boobs (both literally & figuratively).

Hahah, you're so so cute! I'm almost the exact same weight as you - and the same bra size and most of the time I just hate my big ol' boobs, but you've made me appreciate them.. for a second... haha! :)

Happy 2-year blogoversary! And I love this post. My boobs are pretty, well, average sized...but I celebrate them, too. I'll be for-the-topic-appropriate and say that yours look great! Three cheers for boobs and loving what genetics/whatever else gave us.

Thanks so much for participating, I've loved your posts all week! (Esp. the title, like 'le hair' and 'le ta-tas'!)

I also celebrated the ta-tas today, but for very different reasons, which just makes me love that we've had so many voices contributing to this project. I hope you don't mind, but I pointed to you (and your ta-tas) as an example of that in my post today:

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Woo hoo!

Now - although dressing my 34Fs is a challenge (I am also quite petite), I would like to assure you that yes, you can get 32DD.

The one poster who said her friend had to order bras from England - you certainly can get them there (like at figleaves.com and bravissimo), you might want to check out a Nordstrom to see what they have, and then look for those same brands for less, if you choose.

One of my first major non-mainstream sized bras I bought there, but since then I've found great deals for the same brands I know fit me really well...on eBay. (Just got a bra on there for just under half price, and that's no small thing...this bra retails for about $78.)

Just so ya know!

Hey Christine, I love that dress so pretty. If you are looking for bras that do fit you better, like the 32DD's go to Nordstroms. They have the best selection around and their fit specialists are so nice and very helpful. I'm a 32G so I understand not being able to find bras that fit!

First of all, I am so glad I had found your blog. This post made me laugh!

Secondly, your most risque outfit is great! I want those necklaces...the color is amazing. And yes, it's not really risque...I really relate to that. I have trouble ever dressing "sexy."

Finally, happy bloggerversary!

Soma has great 32DD bras. I have two and they are fantastic (the traveller's allura and rachel bras).

It's the only place I found that had bras that fit me - I was ecstatic!

Yeah, bearers of big breasticles unite! (Please note that I write "bearers" and not "barers"). I understand the frustration with big breasts, as I have a set of my own. However, I'm not a wee thing like you, so I have a bit more surface area to give them a home. :)

I have to say that you look totally wonderful in both photos- not even close to slut-o-rama. :) You rock the tatas well, from what I've seen. It's great that you're celebrating them!

haha... your 'slutty' (if it is that makes me super sluttier) outfit is actually amazing... You are right, you do a good job of concealling all you pack... I never knew. Ok, this is getting awkward.
