Glasses - thrifted American Optical (w/ lenses changed)
Cowl - Crocheted by me!
T-shirt - Target
Dress - Marc by Marc Jacobs (with Swiss dots!!!) via Opitz outlet store
Tights - DKNY via TJ Maxx
Socks - Target
Shoes - Unlisted by Kenneth Cole, inherited from sister
And thank you to Miu Miu for bringing back this shoe shape:
I've had these things in my closet since like 1998, just waiting for them to come back, because I am cheap and they were free (courtesy of my sister and her hand-me-downs!) Is my sister like 6 inches taller than me? Yes! Do we wear the same size shoes? Yes! As for the actual Miu Miu's, aside from the fact that I could never afford them, I think I'm too old to wear them! The pattern looks a little too much like, well, everything I owned in 6th grade... the seagull pattern of those same shoes though? Let's just say I wouldn't kick them out of bed, you hear me Miuccia?)
Otherwise, not much to report here... went to a few thrift stores for 50% off weekend and got a lot of vaguely ethnic accessories. Put up a few things in my etsy. Watched the Vikings kill the Cowboys. Went to the doctor for my elbow and have to go get an EMG next Monday, and in the meantime have to sleep in a super cool brace that doesn't let me bend my elbow... aka I am awesome.

What I love about your outfit, is your socks over tights. So simple and yet it finishes the look off with those shoes :)
HAHA I love your title! It definitely made me just laugh out loud. :D
As for your outfit, it is so adorable! I love how you wore the socks with the tights- very clever. Ahh and the cowl neck looks so warm, I need myself one of those.
Much love,
Amy

i absolutely *ADORE* the little owl pin in your etsy shop!
i posted about it over on my blog -- im trying super hard not to spend money right now, but maybe a little fashion faerie will send it my way.
:)
Not gonna lie, these tights are footless (which I didn't realize when I bought them), so the socks were needed (and I agree with both of you, it does add something unexpected to the look)!
Thanks so much for the link on the pin! I was soooo tempted to keep it but realized I have like 1,000 pins (okay, I'm exaggerating) but still, I need to get rid of a few I rarely wear!
I cannot help but smile at the ants crawling up your foot!!!
hee, i love arrested development.
the blue is gorgeous, ESPECIALLY the cowl (can't believe you made it--talented!).
your shoes are fucking sweet, I love the chunky heel. Miu Miu killed it with prints this season, even on heels they look fantastic!
Love the socks over tights with the mary janes. Also, awesome cowl!
Yeah, I pretty much rocked those thick heels in the 90s, too (or would have, if I was wearing heels in the 90s...).
Also, I BLUE MYSELF!!! :)
I found a pair of shoes like that IN MY SIZE and in mint condition at the local thrift store and passed them by because I couldn't decide if they were sad bygones or not. Now I regret it!
I like the post title, too. One of my professors looks and acts exactly like Tobias Funke and it is hilarious.
Haha, I get it. Planning on joining the blue mans group because you're depresseD?
