In case you haven't heard enough about the glory that is Fake Target,
they had a half off sale today. I found a lot of good stuff in the
upstairs, which is just a regular thrift store and I'll post with some
of my finds as soon as it gets decent out (I bought a lot of vintage
sundresses). Downstairs (with all the Target SAMPLES and whatnot) was
also half off. I got a few skirts, a few dresses, a scarf, two pairs of
$1 sunglasses and THIS VEST. Now, it has no labels, no tags, no ANYTHING! (A lot of the samples will have description tags attached - for example it would say: Isaac Mizrahi for Target, spring 2009, size 4, SAMPLE-NOT FOR RETAIL SALE) Has anyone seen this vest at Target before? Is it from one of the GO International collections?
I mean, it's clearly a vest version of the Balmain jacket...
I'm just stumped by it... Target usually leaves the blatant designer rip-offs to Forever 21. Sometimes there are SAMPLES downstairs from companies that Target doesn't wind up picking up and stocking in the store... so maybe that's what this is? Ahhh! It's making me crazy. The mystery!!! Whatever and wherever and whyever it exists, I am happy I got it for $3 and that it fits.
P.S. The white shirt under it is a Thakoon for Target SAMPLE and was $2!!
