my secret!

Ok, not really a dirty little secret or anything juicy, just a little tidbit for you. When I get home from work, I have a little snack (usually string cheese or a peanut butter granola bar... or both!), watch a little Oprah, check a few blogs, then run on my treadmill or do yoga while watching Seinfeld, or whatever. Then I shower and call the boy. I usually will change into different clothes than I wore that day before hanging out with the boy. I "test" my outfits the night before I wear them for real. This way I can find out if there are any problems with fit or movement or just something I can tweak to make it more comfy or chic.

The brown cardi one is the outfit from last night. I decided the dress was too tight on the bottom, my boobs are too big for the cardigan to be worn like that, but didn't want to button it up and detract from the belts. Tweak, tweak, and here it what I actually wore today.

 Scarf - TJ Maxx
Dress - inherited from older sister (the Limited)
Belts - all thrifted
Tights - Target?
Boots - eBay $12!

I often don't have to do any tweaking or will just switch from flats with the boy to ridic heels for work. You can tell the days when I don't pick out an outfit the night before. These are the days I wear a t-shirt, cardigan, pants and five necklaces. Anyway, there is my secret, as boring as it is. Oooh, other secret... I have like five more belts in this color! I can't help it! It's my favorite color of leather... so buttery, orangey, carmely brown! Belts are SO cheap at thrift stores (usually $1-2) and I just love nice old worn in leather. The dress was inherited from my sister (from The Limited), scarf is from TJ Maxx and the boots were $12 on eBay last year! Bye girlies!

Ooh, and P.S. I just booked a flight to Boston for my spring break. My friend Megan is there with my friend John (they're engaged, I'm the maid of honor, they are getting married on a Caribbean island in November, my first cruise!). John is in Harvard business school and is the most amazing person I know and I'm so excited to see them both again! Any advice for things to do/see/shop/eat around Boston? I helped them move out there last summer (me and Megan driving a giant moving van cross the country in August.. what an adventure! John is legally blind so he flew out there and met us.) I saw a little of the city then but they were new there too, so weren't much help! They did say we may go on a trip to "the cape" for a few days this time! Yay, mini-vacation!
