Nerd alert

Nothing too exciting to post. I made dinner for Nate and I last night (portobello mushroom ravioli and garlic brussel sprouts!) Then we listened to the baseball game while we painted his bathroom green. Actually that was pretty fun. I had a TON of paint that was left under the kitchen sink in my condo when I bought it 7? years ago. I repainted most of the walls of my condo when I moved in so never needed the paint, I just didn't ever bother to dispose of it. So Nate and I just grabbed all the old gallons and quarts and mixed up a bunch of teals and greens and yellows and came up with a really cool green color for his bathroom! Free paint and a fun mixing project! Woo! I may or may not have accidentally glopped some green paint in Nate's hair! Ooops!

I need a waaahmbulance

The whining ambulance. The crying ambulance. Call it. For me. I am totally wiped out from this weekend. It's a miracle I didn't call in "sick" to work today. Soooo, Friday night I photo boothed (not a word) an elementary school carnival. Saturday night I photo boothed a giant prom until midnight. It was fun to get to see all the different dresses but man, watching 600 teenagers dirty dancing and grinding on each other is disturbing. Here's what I wore to prom!

Necklace - J.Crew outlet
Dress - Donna Ricco
Shoes - Steven by Steve Madden

Then Sunday afternoon/evening I worked a bat mitzvah for twins... my goodness. 13 year old girls CANNOT get enough of the photo booth. They took about a million photos, which was fine because it was never slow so it made the time go by really fast!

Wedges - Nine West Vintage America Collection

When I got home last night I sat with my feet in a sink of hot water for like an hour. Standing in one spot for like 16 hours in various high heels this weekend was surprisingly exhausting (probably because I'd already worked 40 hours this week at my "regular" job!) I used to bartend and got used to standing all the time after a while, but it's been a few years since I had to do it, so I'm out of practice! Here's today:

Ok, I'm done whining. Moving on.

Work, work, work

It's a weird day and the beginning of a busy weekend. I've got to photo booth immediately after work today so I'm going right from my regular job at my school to a carnival themed fundraiser at a different school. So I decided to dress a bit circus-y today so I can wear it to both jobs! I also had to drive to work today for the first time in years... it's weird to drive downtown rather than bike or bus!

Then tomorrow morning I'm going over to my sister's to babysit Henrik, while she goes to a baby shower.
Yes, I'm gonna throw in gratuitous nephew photos every time I mention him. I can't help it. As a first-time aunt, I am smitten with every single thing he does and every photo I see!

Then tomorrow night I'm photo boothing for a huge prom (they are having THREE photo booths there!) Then Sunday, you guessed it, I'm photo boothing again. Soooooooooooo not exactly a relaxing weekend but no biggie. At least it's supposed to rain all weekend so I won't be missing out on springy outdoor fun!
