I realized I haven't worn a skirt or dress in like a month (with the exception of Christmas and New Year's Eve)... it's just been so darn cold that I keep wearing pants! Enough is enough, so I threw on this long accordion pleated skirt (plus tights, cropped knit leggings, and silk slip for warmth) and went out to face the tundra. I'm not in love with these shoes with this outfit, but they were the best I could do for closed toe shoes. None of my brown shoes were the color of my cardigan (they were all too dark chocolate brown or too yellowy brown and it just looked odd... this baby blue color was also impossible to match and black shoes looked too boring.)

What a great cardigan! I actually like the shoes with this, it's an unexpected color but looks good.
Hah! You layer like a true Minnesotan, lady.
This outfit is really darling and I dig the yellow shoes!
I like the yellow shoes. The added color is fun with the neutrals.
this skirt is so amazing. i'd love to have it in my own wardrobe...

I love this! You sort of remind me of a one room schoolhouse teacher... but more updated and fab!
I, too, have buried my skirts and dresses into the deepest depths of my closet, but I miss them! I love this outfit, and I actually think the shoes are perfect with the rest of the look.
