I think her name is Debra

If you know why this t-shirt is awesome, you and I are going to get along just fiiiiiiiiiiiiine.

Cardigan - antique store (info here)
T-shirt - beck.com
Cropped pants - Target
Sandals - Charles David

 Cardigan detail:

I've seen Beck in concert several times but his show in 2006 blew my mind. He rocked a few songs then said that the band and he had pulled into town kinda late and so he was gonna sing a few acoustic songs while the back-up band ate dinner. A dinner table full of food was brought out on table and all the musicians ate while Beck sang a song alone, just him and his guitar. He started singing a second acoustic song, when the drummer started hitting his water glass with a spoon. Then another guy started banging his hands on the table. Then pretty much this happened:

Sooooo amazing to see live. Seriously one of the top 10 concerts of my life (and I've been to HUNDREDS). Awesome.

Shoot. If I don't get the shirt reference, does that mean you're disowning me?

That cardigan is a stunner.

That shirt is indeed awesome, and I like that you wore it with a fancy cardigan.

Not at all Sal! It's very much a "cult" song so I would venture to guess that most of the general public has no idea what it is... but anyone who DOES know, get's a million bonus cool points from me!

i went to the beck show in chicago where he did the same thing and it was AWESOME. did your also have the guy in short shorts and knee socks dancing onstage the whole time? such a great show.

soooo i assume it's a beck reference but i'm so not a music junkie i don't know. i'm always so ashamed of myself for being completely out of the loop while all the cool kids go to shows. but seriously, that show sounds amazing. having people just rock out in a casual environment (like, at the dinner table) is so much fun! like they can't help themselves!

oh, and musicals: yeah, i cried during RENT. and that was pre-blubbery stage.

I don't get the reference! Don't think less of me, I'm just not a music buff. I do agree with aaez, the cardigan has lovely bead work and I love that you paired with a tee.

On a scale of 1 to outrageously awesome... that was! AHHHH! Once upon a time I saw Beck open for Radiohead in Dublin, Ireland and it was an amazing show. Something like this happened... and there were also puppets. I didn't know much about Mr Beck but I certainly became a fan after that!!

Great cardigan - I have a similar one stashed away somewhere that I really should use more. I love that weighty 50s beading.

By the way, you are totally chic and have the best hair.

Late to the party, but wondering if you also have a nametag that says "Jenny"?

I am a huge Beck nerd and agree that his dinner party percussion was mind-blowing, but Beck at Red Rocks is a spangly, sequins jumpsuit (yeah, 1997!) takes the prize for me.

BTW, have you heard any of his record club?

Sorry to kidnap your comments, but it's in the name of Beck!

Oh, and your outfits always rock.
