Leg for sale

Ok, whine time. Last Saturday (as in 10 days ago) I woke up with an excruciating pain in my left calf. Having spent the day before digging up the garden, I just wrote it off as a pulled muscle. On Monday, it was so much worse I went in to urgent care after work. The dr. said it was probably where my Achilles Tendon attached to my calf, but it was no big deal, to keep exercising as usual and ice it and take ibuprofen for pain. So all week it's been sore but I've been biking and running as usual. This morning I woke up and the pain has shifted down to my ankle and it is 10x worse... I went in to work today (and drove because the thought of walking to the bus stop made me cry for 10 minutes). I made it about an hour and a half (with my leg elevated and iced, a lot of deep breathing, groaning, and trying not to move) before I told the vice-principal that I HAD to leave. I've got a dr. appt at 5:30 tonight so here's hoping I make it until then!  Soooo, here's what I wore to work for a few hours, and now to lay on the couch with ice and cry....

I've been wanting yellow sandals for a while, because I wear quite a bit of yellow and I finally got some thanks to a gift certificate I won from Go Chic or Go Home. Yay! New shoes!

Back in black

I guess I shouldn't say "back" in black, as I rarely wear black... Keeping it simple today. This dress is so awesome on it's own I tend to wear it pretty plainly so I don't overwhelm the cuteness.

Tomorrow I'm going to babysit Henrik in the morning so my sister can go to a flea market (I'm jealous!) with some of her co-workers (she's an interior designer). Apparently he is teething and understandably being a grouch about it. But Nate's coming with to help, and Henrik usually stops crying when Nate plays him songs on the guitar. Tre adorable. Aaaaaaaaaaand then I'm working another prom. Noooooooooo!

Sorry, Henrik, but you best get used to it. I'm gonna crappily photoshop pictures of you your whole life, whether you like it or not. Aaaaaaaaand then I'll put them on the internet.
