Blister in the sun

I'm apparently in dress mode this week. It's super sticky humid here, so I guess that's why. I love these first few weeks of bare legs and sandals but man, every year I wreck my feet for like two weeks on accident. Most of my shoes and sandals are pretty comfortable and fit well, but transitioning from wearing tights and socks every day to barefoot really does a number sometimes. I know I'm not the only one because teachers and students are constantly stopping by my office for band-aids on all sorts of little foot cuts and blisters.

Whoo! Even though there was a thunderstorm last night so everything was still wet this morning and it's insanely humid, I got to ride my bike to work today! It's seriously the best way to start my day and I'm so excited to get back to it!

Previous wearings of what I lovingly refer to as "the bed ruffle dress." Seriously, doesn't it look like you ripped the bed ruffle outta an old lady's bedroom and sewed a dress out of it? Yes, yes it does.

That title is a line from "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" (which Nate and I watched on Valentine's Day for some reason?) And somehow, whenever I wear polka dots, I think of that line from the movie.

The polka dots and hair scarf combo is giving off a bit of an old-school pin-up vibe, which seems totally wrong as I'm going to work with children. But whatever. Some days I just look like a very covered-up pin-up.
