Schell's Dark

Stayed up too late drinking Schell's Dark for my friend Mike's birthday last night... while scrambling to put together an outfit today, I realized I kinda dressed to match the beer. Dark beer, white foam outfit...
Cardigan - thrifted Lands End
Necklace - some shop in Korea
Dress - thrifted Isaac Mizrahi for Target (sample)
Tights - Target?
Shoes - Seychelles

Tonight is book club; we read Remainder by Tom McCarthy. Which was very strange and pretty good but I was disappointed by the ending. But somehow I always like the books more after book club,  once we've argued and dissected for a few hours, so I may change my mind! Our book for next month is The Book of Laughter and Forgetting by Milan Kundera. I LOVE book club night, and can't believe we've been doing it every month for over a year already! Plus, I'm gonna make a Creamy Pumpkin Pie for Mike's birthday... it is SO easy and delicious and not that bad for you considering it's a dessert!

Psst... if my hands weren't jammed in my pockets you would see... MY NEW OLD RING!
I found this Wisconsin shield ring for $1 at a flea market with my mom this summer. I loved it because it reminds me of the rings my grandma used to buy me at the county fair every year! The only problem is it turned my finger black/green and was really itchy when I wore it! So I took it to a jeweler and now it's on a sterling silver band! The one on my index finger is also sterling silver. It's a perfect square and I made it in high school in art class!

Cute Wisconsin ring! I lived in Madison as a tot, so it holds a special place in my heart.
Also, I've been loving the earth tones in your outfits lately. This looks like a great "stayed up too late" outfit.

I had to laugh at the idea of being dressed like a beer. You look cute and comfortable.

Using beer as inspiration...I like that!

I love your outfit and the rings, especially the one you made, wow I didn't know you could make those in Art class, and the memories about grandma, I've been thinking about my grandparents lately, so that was a nice story you shared. =)

haha nothing is wrong with dressing to match a beer! nice outfit. i find it tricky to wear black and brown together, but you did a fine job.
i need to find myself a book club because it sucks when you finish a book and have no one to talk about it with!
