Paisley and plaid

I feel like the rebellious daughter of a farmer in this get-up but oh well. When I was at my parent's house in Wisconsin last summer, I was wearing a fancy dress after a family event and I chased and caught a frog in the yard because, well, frogs are awesome. My grandma pulled the boy aside to laugh at me and tell him that he was "lucky he found himself a real country girl." Which is a ridiculous thing to say. I am many things, but I would never throw the word country in there... except maybe for today's outfit.
Hair scarf - thrifted
Glasses - Prada
Oxford shirt - thrifted vintage
Pocketwatch - garage sale, I added the chain
Skirt - thrifted Converse sample
Boots - Rockport

Dueber pocketwatch that was 50 cents at a garage sale:
I did some research on it and based on the serial number, it was made in 1879-1880! I keep meaning to take it in to an antique watch repair place and see what it's worth and if I should get it repaired! In the meantime, I wear it as a necklace, but it's so heavy that when it swings when I walk, it hurts my ribs!

Have a fabu weekend internetz! My friends Megan and John who I just went to visit in San Fran are in town and I'm so excited! Hooray for John's consulting job that stationed him in MPLS for a few weeks!
