Mr. Banana Grabber

Today I am dressed like a fried egg. Or a half-peeled banana. Depending on your preference. Or maybe like a really highlighted sheet of paper.

Glasses - Prada
Sweater - J.Crew outlet
String tie - thrifted vintage
Skirt - thrifted Liz Claiborne
Sandals - Faryl Robin
Oh hey, twisty sandals! I missed you all winter!

Oooh, the elusive jacket photo! What a treat! And in keeping with the slightly-burnt-egg or slightly-overripe-banana theme, it is brown!
Jacket - thrifted vintage College Town

Apparently this jacket was made for college students? Which I am certainly not. Sadly, it has been NINE years since I graduated college. Hey, I'm old, get into it!

Jail break

It's still cold and I'm still adjusting to going back to work, so I thought it would be fun to make a version of this outfit from the other day that I could actually wear to work. Plus it allowed me to be lazy in the morning, which is always a pro.

Red necklace - thrifted
Flower necklace - Target clearance
Sweater - J.Crew Outlet
Pants - Target
Shoes - Tracy Reese

The ol' black, white and lazy all over. Always a winner.

On the 11th day, I worked

This is from a few days ago, when I was babysitting my five month old nephew all day... which called for washable, comfortable clothes, and no necklaces, brooches, or pins (he's very into grabbing everything that's not tied down and shoving it in his mouth).

Shirt - thrifted newstock Target
Pants - thrifted Banana Republic flares, sewed by me into cropped skinnies
Sandals - Colin Stuart

After 10 days off for spring break, it's back to work I go! And it got cold again, so I'm basically wearing a blanket to work...
Poncho - thrifted vintage (no tags)
Bangles - left arm is J.Crew, right arm is Target
Jeans - Gap
Sandals - Frye

Well, back to regularly scheduled blogging programming... I'm off to go play catch-up on everyone's posts!
