Snirt

They're here! The puddles! It's certainly not spring here yet but it's been in the 30s and the massive snowdrifts are starting to melt. We've lost 5 inches of snowpile already! Woo! Also, did you know "snirt" is the term for that crappy, dirty, grey street snow? It is. Ask wikipedia.

Wearing holey jeans is phase one of transitioning to spring, duh. There's no chance of losing a kneecap to frostbite finally!

I was just typing the list of what I'm wearing and accidentally typed "crapped pants" instead of "cropped pants". Luckily, I noticed and fixed it. That would not have been good. I still don't have a smart phone (I REFUSE) so I don't have auto-correct problems, but I do have speedily texting problems. The other day I was texting about a wedding I'm in this summer in Brekenridge. We're all staying in this huge eight bedroom house that has a theater, pool table, shuffleboard, and big outdoor deck with a grill and a hot tub. Except I didn't type "hot tub", I typed "hot but". Oooops.

Excessively Irish

Well, I had Friday off due to parent/teacher conferences. Even though this was a planned day off, it's been a crazy winter - I feel like I haven't worked any 5 day weeks! Nate gets done with work really early on Fridays (because he's already worked 40 hours by 9am on Friday) so we ran a bunch of annoying errands left over from the wedding. Like getting a new social security card with my name change and adding each other to our car titles. Exciting stuff.

On Saturday Nate and I made a turkey. His work gave him one around Thanksgiving but we celebrated with family so we finally defrosted it and made it on Saturday. I'd only ever made a whole turkey once before and now we have so many leftovers! We've already eaten a bunch of sandwiches (on pretzel buns!) and there's still a ton more... maybe we'll make soup?
