Lucette was Paul Bunyan's sweetheart, in case you didn't know. There is a giant statue of her in Hackensack, MN. There are about a million giant Paul Bunyan statues around MN and they are all hilarious and awesome.

I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. We had "Lumberjack Days" every year where everyone wore flannel to school and we ate pancakes for lunch. I remember winning the costume contest because my dad made me a three foot double ax out of wood that we sprayed painted silver with a wooden handle. It was awesome. In high school our gym teacher was the Women's World Lumberjack Champion and brought in videos of her competitions from ESPN. When we had our swimming unit in gym class, we would do the usual water polo and diving and swimming, but we also learned log rolling. People always think I'm lying because it seems like something you would put in a movie about growing up in a small town in Wisco and it's such a weird thing but I assure you it's true. Log rolling. It's also true that my middle school shop teacher only had six fingers. It was concerning. Do I want to learn how to use big saws and drills from a man who's rocking a 60% (which is a D-) on the finger-keeping front? No. Luckily I escaped with all my digits intact and made one very cute little wood stool that I still use in my walk-in closet!
