Locket (I should have taken a photo of the inside, which still contains the photo of an old man):
Silhouette bracelet (Each face has a name engraved on it: David, Diane, Scott, Barbara, James) I'm assuming these were someones children's names...
Both of these pieces of jewelry are so interesting to me... I know you can't keep everything forever, but why would you get rid of a bracelet engraved with the names of your children (I'm assuming)... I mean, even if she died, wouldn't one of the kids want to keep it?? Did the old man in the locket die? Get divorced from the woman who put his picture in the locket? I'm fascinated by the things that are left behind... I'm really glad I don't believe in ghosts because my house is full of possessions of the dead (including a really awesome WWII jacket that makes me nervous...) I guess I DO believe in ghosts, I just DON'T... I think there are people who CAN see and feel spirits and I don't want to be one of those people so I shut out that whole possibility... I don't believe so they don't visit... know what I mean?
Sorry it got all creepy on you there...
